B is for Bob

If you have children of your own, or have children within your family, then you are probably familiar with the NOGGIN channel. My daughter is a faithful supporter of this channel! NOGGIN programs  focuses on toddler to school age children. These programs are not only very entertaining ( I have to admit I watch NOGGIN more than any other channel on television!), but also very educational. Programs such as Dora the Explorer, Little Bill, and my favorite Yo Gabba Gabba, all have important lessons that are learned from each episode. Now I have heard of studies done that say parents should only allow their children to watch ONE HOUR of television a day. In my opinion, that sounds pretty impossible! I’m a very big fan of NOGGIN and allow my daughter to watch it as long as she wants. I mean it’s not like she’s watching Rated R movies all day….with blood and guts plastered all over the screen!

What made me want to write about NOGGIN was one of the musical commercials they are airing throughout the day. Not only does it make my little heart sing, but the message behind the song puts things into prospective, especially after what Angie and I, as well as many of our supporters, have endured. So take a listen, and truly feel the words in your heart, mind, and soul.

I also suggest that you all sit down one day and watch an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba, and tell me how long it took for you to get up and dance, or tap your foot!

I’m not a huge fan of Yo Gabba Gabba. They kinda get on my nerves. But my son loves them and their songs are very educational. I like the one about littering, I apply it to his toys. “Pick us up, don’t leave us on the ground! Yo! That’s no good!” It works every time.

My favorite is the Wonder Pets. I like that they promote team work and sharing. Those are things my baby is going to need when he heads to pre-school (probably in September).

I have heard the “no more than 1 hour of tv a day” rule too and I’m with you. As long as it’s Noggin, he can watch as long as he likes!
